SpaceX Launches Second Falcon 9 Rocket
SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California on June 25, sending 10 satellites into a low-Earth orbit for Iridium’s voice and data relay network.
The launch, which came just two days after SpaceX launched another Falcon 9 rocket from Florida, set a record for the shortest turnaround time. There will be eight Falcon 9 launches to deploy at total of 75 satellites for Iridium’s next generation global satellite constellation, Iridium NEXT. Credit: DVIDS via Storyful
