First Glimpse of Secret Medicinal Cannabis Crop Released by Victoria Government
The Victorian government released footage of its first crop of medicinal cannabis on Monday, June 12, grown at a secret location following the legalisation of the drug in April 2016.
The Access to Medicinal Cannabis Act 2016 gave defined groups of patients access to medical cannabis, with children suffering severe intractable epilepsy the first group scheduled to receive it as part of their treatment.
Footage published by Premier Daniel Andrews shows the progress of the first batch, which will be turned into medical cannabis oil, capsules and vapour, SBS reported.
