Opposing Protesters Gather at Portland City Hall
Opposing political groups rallied in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday, June 4, and police attempted to keep the two groups separate. Two people were arrested in the early going, according to a news report.The protests come as the city was still recovering from a stabbing attack on a MAX light rail car. Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured after coming to the defense of a girl wearing a hijab who was being harassed.More than 60 separate groups gathered outside City Hall and on the federally-operated Terry Schrunk Plaza across the street. Mayor Ted Wheeler had asked federal authorities to revoke the permit for the Trump Free Speech Rally.
