Gator Found in Swimming Pool of Sarasota Home

A home in Florida’s Sarasota County was greeted by an unexpected visitor on Memorial Day, May 29.

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene where an alligator was found at a family pool in the Plantation neighborhood. The animal, which measured between seven and eight feet, was eventually captured. This video from Deputy Lori Clark shows the incident.

The sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post: “Luckily, these homeowners took a second look this morning before jumping in to kick off their Memorial Day.”
