On Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, Paul Manafort resigned from his position as the chairman for the Donald Trump presidential campaign. Manafort’s resignation comes two days after Trump shook up his staffing bringing in Stephen Bannon, executive chairman of Breitbart News, as the chief executive of the campaign. Trump also added Kellyanne Conway, a former senior adviser, as the new campaign manager.
