Video captures woman saving baby seconds before roof collapses

Alarming footage has captured the moment a heroic maid rescued a sleeping baby from almost certain death, snatching it from a room just moments before the roof caved in.

The woman acted on instinct, running into the room where the child was sleeping in a bassinet.

A second lady standing at the doorway to the room appeared to be shouting at the woman as she fumbled to free the baby from its bed before making a sprint for the exit.

Just seconds after the woman dashed out of the room with the child, plaster boards from the ceiling came crashing down in the exact spot the baby had been asleep just moments earlier.

The video, captured on March 24, was shared to Reddit where people reacted and some said the close-call was the result of earthquakes affecting the Philippines.

Others thought the ceiling collapsed as a result of severe rain in Saudi Arabia, while some thought it could have been caused by renovations to the building.
