SNAPSHOT OF VICTORIA'S CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:

NEW CASES

* 1612 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19

* Eight deaths were reported on Monday:

- A man in his 40s from Port Phillip

- A man in his 60s and a woman in her 70s from Darebin

- A man in his 70s from Glen Eira

- A woman in her 70s from Whittlesea

- A man in his 80s from Maribyrnong

- A man in his 80s from Brimbank

- A man in his 70s from the City of Melbourne

* Death toll from the current outbreak: 93

* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:

- 499 in the city's northern suburbs

- 459 in southeastern surbubs

- 427 in western suburbs

- 95 in eastern suburbs

* 122 cases in regional Victoria, including:

- 16 in City of Latrobe

- 36 in Mildura

- 18 in Baw Baw

- 15 in Greater Shepparton

* Total active cases: 19,012

* A record 73,138 test results were processed on Sunday

VACCINATIONS

* 34,279 vaccine doses on Sunday at state-run hubs

* 81,000 total doses administered across Victoria's state-run hubs, GPs and pharmacists on Sunday

* 86 per cent of eligible Victorians aged 16 and up have received their first jab

HOSPITALISATIONS

* 677 people in hospital, 133 of whom are in intensive care, including 94 on a ventilator

EXPOSURE SITES

* More than 280, including Woodend Primary School and multiple venues in Mildura
