SNAPSHOT OF VICTORIA'S CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK:

NEW CASES

* 1466 new locally-acquired cases of COVID-19

* Eight deaths were reported on Tuesday:

- a man in his 90s from Hume

- a man in his 80s from Moonee Valley

- a man in his 80s from Monash

- a woman in her 70s from Maribyrnong

- a woman in 80s from Whittlesea

- a man in his 70s and a woman in her 50s from Moreland

- a man in his 40s from Bayside

* Death toll from the current outbreak: 101

* Of the latest cases in metropolitan Melbourne:

- 527 in the city's northern suburbs

- 363 in southeastern suburbs

- 397 in western suburbs

- 69 in eastern suburbs

* 110 cases in regional Victoria, including 24 new cases in Mildura, where there are 113 active cases

* Total active cases: 19,627

* 68,509 test results were processed on Monday

VACCINATIONS

* 36,383 vaccine doses on Monday at state-run hubs

* 86.7 per cent of Victorians older than 16 have received their first vaccination dose, while 59.8 per cent their second

HOSPITALISATIONS

* 675 people in hospital, 144 of whom are in intensive care, including 100 on a ventilator

* Seven per cent of those in hospital are fully vaccinated

EXPOSURE SITES

* More than 250, including Woodend Primary School and multiple venues in Mildura
