Just last month an eight-week-old puppy was snatched from a Croydon Hills home, leaving a young Melbourne family devastated.

"My daughter is devastated, unsurprisingly," Ryan Hood told 3AW, pleading with whoever stole little Sasha to return her safely.

"She'd go to bed with it every night and we'd have to take her back to her bed."

The family’s desperate pleas were heard and Sasha was dropped back into the yard in the middle of the night.
