Court ruling win for bakery workers: union

Hundreds of Bakers Delight employees in Melbourne are entitled to hundreds of thousands of dollars in back-pay following a court ruling on conditions, the fast food union says.

The Federal Circuit Court on Friday ruled Bakers Delight franchisee Caden Group was obliged to pay employees at several stores minimum award conditions, the Retail and Fast Food Workers Union said.

The union said the ruling meant about 200 past and present workers employed under a variety of conditions after Caden Group took over the Donvale, Doncaster East, Knox and Eastland franchises in 2014 were entitled to up to $250,000 in back-pay.
