Vic Police clamps on alleged tool thief

Police have thrown a spanner in the works of a tool theft spree, arresting a Melbourne man over $100,000 in goods.

A 21-year-old Hampton Park man was arrested on Friday after two early-morning raids uncovered the bounty of expensive tool and building materials.

It is believed the stolen goods may be linked to four Melbourne burglaries, Victoria Police said.
