Man stabbed in front of girlfriend in vicious Melbourne road rage incident
A simple dispute between two drivers in Melbourne's east has almost cost a man his life.
Sam Walsh says he feared he would die when he was stabbed during a vicious alleged road rage attack.
He is now recovering from the shocking daylight incident, but he has some ugly reminders of the incident.
Mr Walsh and his girlfriend were driving in Cranbourne North when he says he became involved in a confrontation with another driver.
Mr Walsh said he was stabbed during the incident.
"I remember the moment of pushing on my arm and thinking, 'there's something going wrong', and then seeing blood squirting out."
Mr Walsh's girlfriend Oshini heard screaming and jumped out of the car to see him badly injured.
Mr Walsh received a deep slash to his forearm.
The accused man was travelling with his wife and 13-year-old son.
They all stayed and waited for police, who arrested him on the street.
Vishal Sharma, of Cranbourne North, faces charges over last month's alleged attack, including intentionally causing injury and having a controlled weapon.
