Boy hurt by falling branch at Vic school

A young boy has been airlifted to hospital after a branch fell on him and a woman at a Victorian school.

The tree branch fell on the primary school-aged boy and a woman in her 60s at North Bendigo on Friday afternoon, trapping them, an ambulance spokeswoman says.

The boy was airlifted to Melbourne in a serious but stable condition with pelvic injuries, while the woman was taken by road to Bendigo Base Hospital, also in a stable condition.
