Two people have escaped injury after their car was repeatedly rammed by another vehicle in a road rage attack in Melbourne's inner west.
A blue Holden forced their car into oncoming traffic at Braybrook on Friday before ramming it repeatedly, with the driver then fleeing the crash scene, police have confirmed.
"He's pretty much just kept ramming into me until he got to my face," the victim, named only as Tu, told 3AW on Friday.
"I turning onto Ballarat Road and some idiot decides to just run into me from behind."
Both Tu and his passenger were fine, he said, but the car has been "written off".
Another witness, Paul, said the driver of the other car had run away leaving the blue Commodore on the road.
"He's lucky he didn't kill them," Paul told 3AW.
Police are investigating the incident and are checking whether it is linked to an earlier serious assault nearby.
