Customers outraged by Australia Post worker 'throwing' parcels into van

Outraged Australia Post customers are demanding a worker be sacked after he was filmed appearing to carelessly toss parcels into a van.

The man was seen lobbing package after package from a tray into the van just outside Arena post office in Melbourne.

“This is what we pay Australia Post for!” witness Glenn Burr wrote after filming the incident.

“Not a care in the world with our packages just throw them in and don't even look where they land... I hope your packages arrive safety [but they won't] through Australia Post care.”

His packing process saw furious Facebook users unload on the delivery driver.

“This is probably the d******* that broke more than half of the things I brought from America,” one frustrated customer wrote.

“Wow. Thought I seen some boxes with fragile stickers on them. Not a good look Aus Post,” another wrote.

“Explains why most fragile stuff arrives in pieces,” one man added.

Australia Post says it's investigating the footage.

Not everyone was critical of his actions though, saying it was the responsibility of the sender to ensure they had packaged their item in a fashion that could withstand such a beating.

“This worker did nothing wrong. If people don't pack their parcels properly, they can't expect them to arrive safely,” one woman wrote.

“I hope Australia Post has the sense to see that, and this video doesn't cause him any trouble.”
