Man stabbed to death in gatecrasher brawl at a private function

A man has been stabbed to death at a restaurant in Melbourne’s west.

Paramedics were called to a Korzo Grill House on Gourlay Road, Caroline Springs on Saturday about 2.15am.

Upon arrival they found a man with stab wounds but despite paramedics treating him he died shortly afterwards.

He is yet to be formally identified but 7 News understands he was stabbed during a brawl with uninvited guests at a function.

No children were present at the time and police are looking through CCTV footage, According to the Herald Sun.

Police believe the offender or offenders fled the scene soon the altercation.

A number of men are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
