Man's body found at Melbourne reserve

A man has been found dead at a Melbourne reserve, with homicide detectives called in to investigate.

The body of man believed to be in his 40s was discovered in a reserve at the rear of Cawood Drive, Sunshine West about 10am.

The reserve is behind a McDonald's and less than a kilometre away from a primary school.

The circumstances surrounding the man's death have not been established, but police are treating it as suspicious.

A forensics team arrived at about 12.30pm.
