'What the hell': Blunder sees ATAR scores released five days early
Year 12 students across Victoria are waking to find they have already received their ATAR results five days ahead of schedule.
Student Anna Wilson said she entered her information into the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority website in preparation for the official release of her year 12 scores next week, but the wait was much shorter than expected.
“What the hell is happening,” she wrote on a Facebook group for year 12 students.
“Immediately I received a text saying my ATAR subjects, study scores and grades.”
She was one of 2075 students affected by the glitch, with mixed reactions coming social media about the sneak peek into the early year 12 scores.

On Thursday morning, the VCAA and Victorian Tertriary Admissions Centre confirmed that the early results sent out to 2075 students were in fact their correct Australian Tertiary Admission Rank scores.
“When you’re just trying to register for sms atar results and they hit you with the real thing… Someone please tell me this can’t be legit,” Bridget Meneghetti posted on the VCE Discussion Space Facebook page
"I'd like to say it's a scam but the results are so believable," another student told 7 News.
"I did it but I'm not going to be confident in it till Monday," Conor Day wrote.
Victorian Minister for Education James Merlino acknowledged there was "clearly a significant error" saying a "full investigation will be carried out to get to the bottom of this".
