Banksy on camera? YouTube claims to bust enigmatic arist in Melbourne lane

Infamous and mysterious street artist Banksy may have resurfaced in Australia, with amateur video possibly catching him in the act of painting of a Pauline Hanson stencil in Melbourne.

The painting, reminiscent of those credited to the famed graffiti artist, features the Queensland Senator below her oft quoted 'Please Explain' gaffe, that she has since adopted as a catchphrase.

It shows the Senator wearing a t-shirt reading 'F**k off, we're fools'; a parody of a popular racist slogan.

Below the image, the word 'Banksy' is stenciled onto the wall.

In a video posted to and later deleted from YouTube, a woman appears to catch 'Banksy' escaping the scene.

The camera pans across the image, settles on the signature - which appears different to previous Banksy hallmarks - and chases the man down a lane yelling 'Banksy, Banksy'.

The alleged Banksy then escapes, appearing to be accompanied by two other people in the darkened lane.

The image was spotted again in Melbourne graffiti hotspot Hosier Lane on Wednesday morning, leading to initial speculation that the artist was back in Australia.
