Knife-wielding man threatens Victorian milk bar worker, leaves empty handed

A man is on the run after an attempted armed robbery at a Victorian milk bar.

It is believed a man entered the Ferntree Gully store at Forest Road, in the Dandenong Ranges, just after 9am on 24 September.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man confronting a worker behind the counter, while demanding goods and cash.

The footage shows the man, with short dark hair, pulling a large knife from his black tracksuit pants, which he began waving aggressively.

He left empty-handed and fled on foot in a northerly direction, police say.

No one was injured during the incident.
