Brawl erupts in Melbourne police station between men arrested over fight at Seaford

Two police officers have been injured and a man has been charged after a brawl erupted in a Melbourne police station.

An argument broke out between two men about 7pm on Tuesday after a group of people attended the Frankston Police Station in relation to an incident in the nearby suburb of Seaford on Sunday night.

One of the men became violent toward police officers who were trying to break up the fight.

Police used pepper spray before arresting the allegedly violent man.

A 25-year-old Seabrook man has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, unlawful assault and threatening behaviour.


Two officers suffered minor injuries.

The group that went to the police station were involved in an ongoing investigation over a brawl near a train station in Seaford on Sunday night.

A huge crowd fought outside Kananook Railway Station, with a 23-year-old man suffering stab wounds to his abdomen.

He is in a stable condition.

Officers searched three vehicles after the brawl and seized weapons including baseball bats, a samurai sword and a machete.
