WILD WEATHER: Teens injured after being crushed by tree in Melbourne

Six teenagers suffered minor back and leg injuries when a tree fell on their tent during wild weather near Melbourne overnight.

Paramedics were quick to the scene after 110km/ph winds caused the tree to fall at Lake Eildon National Park about 10pm.

It wasn't the only lucky escape overnight either.

Two men had their kayaks overturned as the wild winds continued near Geelong.

They both managed to swim 100m to shore after flipping at Wilsons Point at about 9.20pm.
