Bold koala strolls along main shopping strip
An audacious koala has stopped people in their tracks when it went for a leisurely walk along a main shopping street in a Victorian coastal town.
Chris Kerrigan was sitting in a cafe in Portland when she noticed the tiny marsupial casually strolling past shops and even obliged a young boy who wanted a photo.
She captured a video of the adorable moment on her phone camera and uploaded the vision to Facebook.
In the video, the koala can be seen sauntering past shops, before it stops and poses long enough for the little boy to get his snap.
It then continues its walk, seemingly unperturbed by the human encounter.
Ms Kerrigan said the bold koala eventually ran back up a tree to join its mates.
