Rollercoaster gets stuck with eight people on board at Royal Melbourne Show

Some Royal Melbourne Show thrill seekers had to endure a tense hour when a carriage on the Taipan roller coaster suddenly broke down.

The ride ground to a halt at the top of the tracks shortly after 1pm this afternoon.

Three children were among the eight people stranded.
