Man's body pulled from St Kilda harbour

A man's body has been pulled from the water near St Kilda pier in Melbourne's south-east.

A runner spotted the body floating in the water at around 9am this morning.

Acting Sergeant Luke Sorati said police have not been able to identify the man and are asking the public for help.

Police believe the man is middle-aged, between the ages of 50 and 60. He was found wearing a dark top, dark tracksuit pants, socks and sandals.

Police say they are unsure of the circumstances surrounding the man's death, but are treating it as non suspicious.

Anyone who may know the man is asked to call police.
