Melbourne University brain power
Melbourne University brain power

Melbourne is now home to the world's most advanced brain scanner which can detect Alzheimer and Parkinson's disease at least ten years earlier.

Melbourne University's sophisticated scanner is the only one in Australia dedicated to brain research, and it can pinpoint problems before symptoms have even started.

The university is looking for volunteers, aged 65 and over, to take part in trials.

Their involvement will help researches develop treatments and even find cures.
