The teenager who was struck by lightning while playing football with friends has died in hospital.
Jackson Marsh, who turned 18 on the weekend, had been in the Royal Adelaide Hospital since he was hit by the strike last Thursday.
The Pembroke Schoolboy had been kicking a football with friends at Kensington Oval as a storm moved across South Australia when the lightning strike hit him at about 2.30pm.
Friends performed first aid on the boy before ambulance crews arrived and took him to hospital.
A statement released by his family said the teenager passed away peacefully late last night with his family by his side.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
