Five teenagers have been arrested after they were caught changing the tyre of a car they had allegedly stolen in Melbourne.
The group, aged 15 to 18, were arrested at about 4am on Sunday as they worked on the tyre in Parkville with police saying the car was stolen the day before in Braybrook.
One of the group, an 18-year-old from Melton, was charged with handling stolen goods after a Victorian drivers licence and a mobile phone were allegedly found in a bag he was carrying and will face court on Sunday.
One 15-year-old was charged over a previous robbery, while another was cautioned over weapons offences.
A 17-year-old was charged with stealing a car and will face a children's court at a later date, while another 17-year-old was released pending further inquiries.
