At-risk youth from migrant backgrounds will benefit from a $1.15 million funding boost from the Victorian government.

The funding, announced on Friday at North Melbourne Football Club, aims to help get disengaged young people into work through community activities and sport.

"(The state government) is making sure no one falls through the cracks because everyone, regardless of their background, has the right to share in our strong economy," Employment Minister Ben Carroll said in a statement.
