WHAT THEY PROMISED

Labor:

* A fresh round of the $250 power saving bonus next year

* At least 6000 apprentices and trainees hired under its plan to re-establish the State Electricity Commission

* A SEC training centre to co-ordinate and accredit TAFE courses in clean energy

* A $207 million specialist schools package, including extending outside hours of care from 2024 and National Disability Insurance Scheme navigators in every school

Coalition:

* Scrap electricity supply charges to cut household electricity bills by up to $235

* Quarantine any new gas for Victorian use

* The Victorian Electoral Commission confirmed its investigation into the Liberal donor scandal will not be complete before election day. The probe was initiated after former chief of staff Mitch Catlin solicited a billionaire Liberal donor to make more than $100,000 in payments to his private marketing company

* Labor protesters crashed the Liberal campaign launch event dressed as lobsters, in a reference to Opposition Leader Matthew Guy's lobster dinner with an alleged Mafia boss in 2013.
