Vic park search continues for missing man

Police will return to a state park in Victoria as they search for a missing man whose car has been found nearby.

Yiwei 'Carl' Chu has been missing for more than a fortnight, but a resident on Friday reported seeing his white Toyota Camry near Werribee Gorge State Park.

Police searched the area on Saturday and will continue scouring the site on Sunday.

The park is more than 80km from the last known sighting of the 28-year-old Mt Waverley man.

Mr Chu bought lunch at a fast food restaurant in Notting Hill on April 11 and hasn't used his mobile phone, bank cards or social media since.

He was supposed to pick up his wife, Emma Wang, from work that evening, but didn't show up.

She feared her husband may have been murdered, despite being a "calm, quiet, friendly person" who never fought with anyone.

"The only thing that can come to my brain is just about murder or the danger of things," Ms Wang said.

"I just want him to come home, I can't think too much or think other things."

Investigators have said there was "potential" for "sinister attachment" to his disappearance.
