Vic nurse accused of working with COVID-19

A Victorian nurse has been charged after allegedly working at a Melbourne aged care facility while positive with COVID-19.

The woman is accused of working casual shifts while positive between July 26 and August 2, 2020.

Worksafe charged her with two breaches of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. She faces five years' jail or a $297,396 fine.

It's not alleged the 36-year-old's actions resulted in COVID-19 being spread in the workplace.

She is due to appear in Moorabbin Magistrates Court on September 7.
