Police are hunting a driver that hit a man and left him fighting for life on the side of a Melbourne road.
Jimmy Kalia was found by another motorist laying on the road in Albion on Saturday night, and the 37-year-old is now in a critical condition in hospital.
A witness told police they saw a silver car stopped outside a child care centre on Anderson Road shortly after the collision.
"A male driver got out of the car and then looked back at where Jimmy was laying before looking around his car briefly and then driving away from the scene," Sergeant Mark Amos told reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
Car parts found at the scene suggest the car was a Toyota Camry or Aurion.
Police released CCTV footage of the car on Tuesday, and are calling for any witnesses to come forward.
