Vic man faces court over $395m NDIS fraud

A Victorian man charged with fraudulently obtaining more than $395 million in bank credit has faced court.

Demetrios Charisiou, 60, has been charged with five counts of fraudulently obtaining money relating to the National Disability Insurance Scheme between April and July 2019.

Charisiou on Friday faced Melbourne Magistrates Court for a filing hearing.

He will next face court for a committal mention on June 18.
