Vic duo charged after stolen car discovery

A man and a woman have been charged after police found them inside an allegedly stolen car that also contained drugs, cash and power tools in Melbourne.

Police found the pair and another man inside a black Audi sedan on Raleigh Road, Maribyrnong early on Tuesday.

A large quantity of methylamphetamine, butanediol, prescription drugs, power tools, cash and other stolen goods was found during a search of the vehicle.

A 29-year-old Pascoe Vale man was charged with drug trafficking, car theft and failing to answer bail and was remanded in custody.

A 22-year-old woman, from Aberfeldie, was charged with theft offences as well as committing an offence while on bail and was bailed to front Sunshine Magistrates Court on August 30.

The third man inside the car was released pending further inquiries.
