Girl, 1, found after taken from Queensland home

Police have located a one-year-old girl who was taken from her Queensland home last night.

On Sunday morning, police said the girl was found "safe and well".

The one-year-old girl was taken from her home on Wardell Street in Beenleigh, with police believing she may be at "significant risk", issuing an AMBER Alert.

Police were alerted the child was taken around 9.40pm on Saturday night and observed a man in a white Suzuki sedan around 10pm.

Police said the car travelled southbound on the Pacific Motorway at high speed and crossed into NSW about 10.30pm.

At 1.15am, the white Suzuki was found abandoned in a Bogangar street.

The one-year-old girl is described as being Caucasian in appearance, 50cm tall with blonde hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a pink jumper, a blue shirt and pink pants.

Anybody with information is urged to contact police immediately and should call 131 564 or triple-0 in a life-threatening situation.
