Police are appealing for urgent assistance to find a 37-year-old woman and her 6-month-old boy, missing from Logan Reserve since Friday, August 2. Supplied

Police are appealing for “urgent assistance” to find a mother and her six-month-old baby, who have been missing for nearly 48 hours.

Miriam Atukunzire, 37, and her baby boy were last seen at an address on Armstrong Rd at Meadowbrook in Logan Reserve about 11am on Friday.

Ms Atukunzire made contact with family members about an hour later but has not been seen or heard from since.

Both police and Ms Atukunzire family hold concerns for the pair’s welfare as the disappearance is “out of character”.

Ms Atukunzire is described as African in appearance, about 160cm tall, with dark hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a black and white striped dress and a black trench coat.

Police are appealing for Ms Atukunzire or anyone with further information to contact police.
