Upload has been renewed for a fourth and final season.

The Prime Video series starring The Flash's Robbie Amell premiered its third season in October, following his character Nathan and love interest Nora (Andy Allo) as they raced to take down Freeyond once and for all.

The streamer has now confirmed that a fourth and final season is officially on the way, with showrunner and director Greg Daniels promising fans a satisfying conclusion to the show, according to Deadline.

"When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards," Daniels shared in a statement.

Meanwhile, Amazon MGM Studios' Head of TV Vernon Sanders added: "I’m thrilled to share that Upload will return to Prime Video for a fourth and final instalment.

"We are grateful to Greg and the fantastic team behind the series and while goodbyes are bittersweet, we know that the series will be uploaded to its well-deserved idealistic afterlife."

In Upload's season three finale, download Nathan and the backup version of himself were apprehended by the authorities and taken away.

The episode's final moments saw Nathan call Nora, Ingrid and his mother to inform them his other version was destroyed, but the question of which one remains to be revealed.

In an interview with Screenrant, Amell admitted that even he's not sure which version of Nathan was destroyed.

"I will preface this, just to be clear, we do not know which Nathan is going to be alive in season four," he said.

"I don't want anybody being like 'Oh, they gave it away'. It's a total fifty-fifty shot. I've been told both sides by the writers, so I think that they know that they're messing with us."

Upload airs on Prime Video.
