'I'd rather go to jail': New video shows moments before United Airlines passenger David Dao was pulled from his seat

A new video showing the moment before Dr Dao was removed from his seat on board an overbooked United Airlines flight has emerged.

The airline attracted global attention when a video showing Dr Dao being forcefully removed from his seat was posted online earlier this week.

But the new video shows the conversation the 69-year-old Vietnamese-American had with security before he was removed.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports Dr Dao’s lawyers have contacted an Illinois state court.

They have requested United Airlines and the City of Chicago, which runs the O’Hare International Airport, to preserve all surveillance videos, cockpit voice recordings and other materials related to the matter.

The Chicago Aviation Department has also suspended two more officers involved in removing Dr Dao from his seat.
