'Beautiful angel': Girl, 14, killed in bus tragedy outside her school identified

A teenage girl who died after she was hit by a school bus on the NSW South Coast has been identified.

Ulladulla High School student Zoie Bell, 14, died after she was hit by the bus on Tuesday afternoon.

Mourners paid tribute to the “lovely girl who showed kindness to others” on a GoFundMe page.

“We love you so much beautiful girl – and sending so much love to your parents and siblings at this difficult time,” one woman wrote.

“Fly high beautiful angel.”

Ulladulla High School wrote on Facebook it was “deeply saddened by the tragic accident”.

“Our heartfelt sympathies are with the family and friends,” a statement read.

“Counselling is being provided to students and staff... and we will be providing ongoing support for everyone impacted by this event.”

A mother of one of Zoie’s friends told The Daily Telegraph the 14-year-old visited last weekend for a sleepover.

“My daughter is devastated and I am too,” she said.

“I just feel sick to my stomach.”

The bus driver was breath tested at the scene and the result was negative.

Police are asking for anyone with dashboard camera footage to come forward.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
