'Oh my god': UFC world explodes over 'sickening' moment

On his back and getting pummelled with hard rights and lefts, Niko Price was in a world of trouble and possibly on the verge of being finished in his UFC Tampa bout at Amalie Arena on Saturday.

Then he changed everything with a hellish upkick that connected flush on James Vick's chin and knocked him out on his feet.

Vick fell in a heap onto Price's midsection and "The Hybrid" cemented the stunning first-round KO with some punches of his own, as he more than lived up to his nickname once again.

Just like that, Price delivered a mind-numbing KO from his back, improved to 14-3 and reinforced the notion that he could record a knockout from practically any position in the Octagon.

Fans went absolutely wild over the insane KO.

UFC world erupts over ‘absolutely disgusting’ moment

Fans and commentators exploded on Saturday over one of the most sickening knockouts in recent memory.

Mike Davis took down Thomas Gifford in brutal fashion on the preliminary card at UFC Tampa.

Davis was right on top from the opening bell and rocked Gifford a number of times throughout the first round.

Gifford looked like he was done but managed to survive the first round, however he was sent back out for more punishment in the second.

Gifford somehow managed to keep fighting and lasted until the final 15 seconds of the fight before he was knocked out by a ferocious right hand to the face.

Gifford crashed face-first into the canvas and lay motionless for a number of seconds, leaving fans disgusted by what they’d seen.

Many believed Gifford’s corner or the referee should have stopped the fight much earlier.
