President Donald Trump held a rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Thursday night, and brought out a special guest at the Broadmoor World Arena.

Trump introduced UFC President Dana White during his 98 minute speech, who addressed the crowd briefly.

“I’ve known this man for 20 years. We’ve actually become even closer since he’s become the President of the United States,” White said. “When somebody becomes the President of the United States, you don’t ever expect to hear from them again. And I understand it. It absolutely makes sense.

“This guy is so loyal and such a good friend. Every time I see him — I saw him today. When I met him on Air Force 1, the first thing he said to me was, ‘How is your family?’ Good man, very loyal and a very good friend.”

Trump has a long relationship with White, who spoke in support of Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention, and has generated some support in the UFC during his time in office. Trump attended UFC 244 last year — where he received a mixed welcome from the fans at Madison Square Garden — which made him the first sitting or former president to attend a mixed martial arts fight. Fighter Colby Covington frequently dons a “MAGA” hat at events, and even received an invitation to the White House to meet Trump.

White, who spoke for less than 90 seconds on Thursday night, ended his comments with words of support for Trump ahead of his reelection campaign.

“He’s a fighter,” White said about Trump. “He loves this country. He’s doing great things for this country, and we’ve got to win this election again ladies and gentleman. Thank you.”
