‘WORST EVER’: UFC fans fume over 'disgusting' controversy
“I find freedom sexy. I find freedom so sexy I can’t even explain it to you,” she quoted Prince in the caption.
“You wake up every day and feel like you can do anything.”
However Carano has now been left fuming after Instagram took down the post for violating community guidelines.
“So that’s what it’s like to be censored for no reason. Pic was taken down by Instagram,” she wrote on Twitter.
“There’s much more important news today but that was some classic bullsh*t.
“The whole post was about freedom of expression. Violating zero rules. Ironic. Feels like I graduated.”

Instagram’s community guidelines state: “We know that there are times when people might want to share nude images that are artistic or creative in nature, but for a variety of reasons, we don’t allow nudity on Instagram.
“This includes photos, videos, and some digitally-created content that show sexual intercourse, genitals, and close-ups of fully-nude buttocks.
“It also includes some photos of female nipples, but photos of post-mastectomy scarring and women actively breastfeeding are allowed.”
UFC fighter calls out Carano’s nude post
Carano had already copped backlash from former UFC fighter Renzo Gracie, who said Carano was beautiful enough not to have to post ‘sex pics’.
“Put some clothes on… you don’t need it.. you are among the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen..” he wrote.
“That makes you unique.. there’s no need for sex pics… you are the most beautiful woman that walk around. Simple as that.”
Carano, 38, never fought in the UFC but was a star in Strikeforce and EliteXC before her retirement in 2009.
She was once offered a multimillion-dollar fight against Ronda Rousey, but it never eventuated.
She has since embarked on a successful acting career, featuring in Fast & Furious 6 and Deadpool.
