A replacement ambulance has been dispatched after two ambulances were destroyed by fire east of Perth.
Police are investigating the possibility of arson following the blaze at a St John Ambulance building on Joaquina Street in York about 1am on Saturday.
The building and two ambulances were significantly damaged by fire, with the damage bill estimated at $1 million.
A replacement ambulance was sent immediately from Northam "so the town was not without an ambulance service", a St John Ambulance spokesman said.
The arson squad has been investigating the charred remains of the York building.
Police are appealing to the public to come forward with any information about the fire.
