Two men stabbed in west Belfast bar

Two men have been treated in hospital after a stabbing in a bar in west Belfast, the Police Service for Northern Ireland (PSNI) have said.

It happened in the Northumberland Street area at about 21:00 BST on Sunday.

Officers said they spoke with two men who reported injuries and were taken to hospital.

Insp Hamilton said: "Thankfully, at this stage it appears that their injuries are not serious."

Officers remained in the area for a time and enquiries are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have any other information to contact them.
