Two men arrested after Melbourne protest

Two men have been arrested after a truck was used in a peak-hour environment protest in Melbourne.

The men parked the vehicle on the busy intersection of Flinders and Swanston streets, outside Flinders St Station, and locked themselves on its roof as part of an Extinction Rebellion protest.

The truck disrupted traffic and blocked a tram line before the men were arrested around 9.20.

Victoria Police said the two men were taken into custody and the truck has been cleared.
