Two killed in separate stabbings

A 16-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man have both died overnight following separate stabbing incidents in NSW.

At about 9pm on Friday, emergency services were called to a home in Narromine, about 40km west of Dubbo, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers arrived at the Nymagee St home to find a 16-year-old boy with stab injuries to his neck.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to Dubbo Airport where he died.

Police established a crime scene and detectives launched an investigation, with police later arresting a 26-year-old man at a home nearby.

The man was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he is assisting with inquiries.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Sydney’s north west, at about 8.25pm on Friday, emergency services were called to Narcissus Ave, Quakers Hill, following reports of a stabbing.

Officers arrived to find a 28-year-old man with stab wounds to his chest.

The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

He died en route to hospital.

Police have established a crime scene and detectives are investigating.
