The grief-stricken children of a woman found dead at a Melbourne home say she was taken from them by someone she considered a friend.
The 70-year-old grandmother's body was found inside a house at suburban Kew on Monday along with that of a 69-year-old man.
Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of our mother in the company of a person who she considered a friend," the woman's three children said in a statement issued on Tuesday.
"We are grief stricken that this beautiful woman has been taken from us but she can never be taken from our hearts."
"She was a beautiful mother and grandmother who loved her family passionately."
The family has requested privacy as they deal with the "tragic matter," choosing not to release her name.
