Two entries collect $50 million each in massive Powerball division

Two Aussies – one from New South Wales and one from Victoria – are now $50 million richer after taking out a share in the $100 million Powerball jackpot.

The jackpot was one of the largest division one prizes in the Australian game’s history.

A Sydney resident or visitor may not yet realise they have won $50 million.

As the entry was unregistered, officials have no way of contacting the winner to confirm the news.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart encouraged anyone who purchased an entry from a licensed lottery outlet in Sydney to check their tickets as they could be Australia’s newest multi-millionaire.

The second winner of $50 million purchased their ticket online. Officials don’t have the complete contact details for the ticket holder, meaning they have not been able to break the news to either winner.

“While we are unable to confirm the win with either of our winners, we can guarantee that when they discover the news, their life is set to change when their bank balance balloons by a whopping $50 million,” Mr Hart said.

“Make sure you check your entry tonight or first thing in the morning because you may not have to go to work tomorrow.”

The winning numbers were 33, 3, 32, 13, 27, 35 and 31 with the Powerball 3.

Fifteen entries also took home more than $122,000.

One in three adult Australians had an entry in the Thursday night draw.
