Two missing Sydney children found safe

Two children who were taken from their home in Sydney's east overnight have been found safe and well.

Police say the children aged four and ten were put in a car overnight at Potts Point by their father.

They were spotted with their father, walking towards Panania Railway Station, in Sydney's southwest around 9am on Thursday by a member of the public, police say.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command responded and took the man to hospital for assessment.

The children are safe and will be reunited with family.
